ABOUT Smart Materials Conference (SMC) 2025
The University of the Western Cape (UWC) in association with the American Chemical Society (ACS), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Nanotechnology Council (IEEE NTC) will host the “Smart Materials Conference 2025 (SMC2025)” in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3-5 December 2025. The conference brings together academia and industry researchers including students and young researchers on board in fostering a global dialogue within the materials science, nanoscience, nanotechnology, energy, electronics, medicine and environment including water and waste water treatment. SMC 2025 aims in sharing new ideas and new technologies amongst the professionals, industrialists and students from research areas of Smart Materials and their variety of applications to share their recent innovations and indulge in interactive discussions and technical sessions at the event.
